It is always good to have people to talk to when going through tough times. Where I am from, elders often speak in Proverbs and Idioms to help us understand what we are going through without being too forward. These proverbs or idioms could mean different things as pertaining to your situation.
During my hard times with our loss, one of the reoccurring proverbs that I kept receiving was :
" If the pot that carries the water breaks , then there is no use for the pot. But if the pot is not broken but rather it is the water that spilled, then surely the pot will carry water again"
Such simple words but yet holds so much power. Over the months, my husband and I have had the chance to reflect on a lot of things. Even played out different scenarios of what the outcome could have been. We quickly realized that yes, we may have lost something big but we were both blessed to be alive to try again.
The pot is not broken and in due time, it will hold again.
